I’m so excited…One of my images is now on a book cover! I know lots of you have tons of images on book covers, but I don’t shoot those moody shots or the shots with people in them so it makes it harder for my work to be selected. Anyway…..here it is

4th Book Published

Just completed our fourth collaboration…photographer (me) and poet (a colleague). We called it “Summer Sonatas”. You can preview it by clicking on here

This summer season collaboration of photography and poetry acknowledges the magic summers of childhood, the summer day dreams of adolescence, the pleasures of adulthood in summer with its heady mix of chores and leisure and the comforting summers of our later years.

New Book Published!

Another collaboration with a good friend who writes wonderful poetry. My images, her words Mid-Winter Comfort Not your rhyming/Blake/Wordworth poems (I’m an English/Journalism major and have read enough of that kind of stuff to last a lifetime!). Moody images, happy words. Take a look…hope you like it. Available in softbound, hard bound and with a dust jacket.

Our other book: Late Autumn Meditation

There’s a 25% off coupon for ordering any of the books in my books store if you are interested. Code at checkout is FINALHOLIDAY. It’s good until December 17.

Co-Labor-Ration

Working together to create a product and rationing what part each person plays in the mix…COLLABORATION.…

I work for the Oregon Community College Association, the lobbying group which, among other things, assures state funding is available for the 17 community colleges in the state. If anyone is interested you will probably find me on Wordpress or flickr under “Duckprints” rather than here.

One Challenge Win Every 2.5 Years

YAY….won a challenge…only the second challenge win since I joined the site in December 2007. Can’t remember the other win it’s been so long ago!! Here’s the current win “Yes I Went To The Fair” in the Photo Challenges group. Thanks to all who voted. This shot along with 15 others hangs in the Salem Conference Center (Salem, OR) as part of a display of the things I missed most about Oregon while I was living in FL for seven years. Yep…. the Oregon State Fair.
