Warner Brothers vs Wonder

My painting “Wonder” was recently removed from RB due to being caught in Warner Brothers wide net to get RB to remove images that were infringing on WB’s IP rights to Wonder Woman. Thankfully, “Wonder” is back in RB after being limited to my web site http://davemartsolf.com where you can visit a special page to read details of the entire fascinating story. As I say on my web site, "The only thing worse than being defamed by Warner Brothers is NOT being defamed by Warner Brothers.

Conflicts of Interest - a poem

Conflict of Interest

patience exceeding the lost madness,
fighting the reign – angry insanity.
vying for control, a dichotomy.

losing to the end – ancient battles,
evolutionary inevitability,
the loss of knowledge,
the death of understanding is at hand.
we are glad to see it go,
waving goodbye with red-clotted sticks
and true love.

Open Secrets

*Open Secrets

High lights and gleaming cords,
roads and paths;
don’t lead them anywhere.
But you will someday take them all -
take them all at once –
someday;
but not today.

Row and glide,
but do not hide;
for millions lie hidden,
in cold pockets,
who will warm by reflection
of we who see;
grasping the secret power
of the present.

Peek around the corner
from the quiet shores of
sentimental memories.

Come out and be defenseless.*

Climbing Mt. Oberlin, Glacier National Park, Montana, USA

Call it artistic inspiration. Mt. Oberlin is one of the easiest peaks to climb in this national park, but it fulfilled a long-time dream for me, and gave my daughter a chance to go where hardly any 9-year old girl has gone before.

First, the classic park view looking west.

Mt. Oberlin (8180’) on the left.

Looking north along the Continental Divide lovingly know as “The Garden Wall”.

Approach to the col between two peaks.
