Today I had coffee with Canadian Red Bubbler, Wendi, who has been holidaying in South Australia…and she’s as fantastic in person as she is online! Great meeting her.

On the downside, dontcha hate it when you upload a photo that appears to be the right side up on your computer screen, and then appears on Red Bubble lying down lol and nothing you can do appears to change it!

Yay! Have just had another article and photos published!

Have just had yet another travel article (including my photos) published. If you are in Australia, check out the latest edition of “Cruise Passenger” and see my shots of the voyage I did last year along Burma’s Irrawady River, including the description of abandoning ship…

The article takes up three pages and has 6 photos.

This is the third article I have had in this particular magazine. The other two have related to cruising along the Mekong (Vietnam and Cambodia) and the Brahamputra (India).

Pleasant surprise when I checked RB this morning…I have sold two Hongkong the same person…and I have no idea who the lucky guy/gal was!

Hmmmm…never thought I would sell a calendar in June….

It's a puzzle....

What does one do when one sells a matte print to someone and they don’t give me a name, huh? No tht I’m arguing….. $8 commision is not be sneezed at …arhhh—chooo!!!

But it would be pleasant to know which Red Bubbler brought this welcome and most generous news and a sale into my life!

Hong Kong here I come.

I’m heading for Hong Kong in May – after a 35 year absence. It will be interesting to see the changs that have occurred.

I’m also looking at buying one or more camera lenss for my Pentax. So any help with the best shops to visit would be appreciated – either Honkong Kong or Kowloon side….

I have already been advised to check out Tin Cheung Camera Company, in Kowloon.

And are there any special places to visit where I can get decent photographs?

And advice would be appreciated.

Thanks to animo.....

….I have managed to download some recovery freeware, and have salvaged some of the Melbourne shots that I lost when my SD card crashed during my Easter stay….

A wonderful time in Melbourne..but...

My trip to Melbourne was great, and thanks so much to Red Bubblers Naomi aka “animo” and Mark Higgins, who generously took me through the city and around Docklands, where I took some great photos on the Thursday. Good Friday was spend along the Yarra River at Yarra Bend National Park, where I got more great shots, and I managed to top this off with a tour of Melbourne’s Zoological Gardens, including tigers, gorillas, lions, giraffes, zebras.…

On the Sunday I went to Paramoor Winery, about an hour’s drive near Hanging Rock in the Macedon Ranges and took shoots there also.

So you can imagine my horror and dismay when I returned to Adelaide early on Tuesday morning and discovered the SD card had become corrupt, and the first three days of shooting had disappeared. Zilch. Nothing. Fuckin’

I shall *NOT* surrender!!!

I have been on RB (an acronym for “Real Buyers”….hahahaha) for about 4 weeks and have made one sale. A card puchased by the redoubtable Ms. Gracey, bless her cotton pickin’ heart), but at a profit of $1.01 I shall not get wealthy.…

I refuse to surrender. I shall not wave the white flag. I am not retreating!!!

RedBubble must become far more flexible with its calendars, and produce open ones that start on any month and run for the following 11 months. They would make excellent birthday gifts, and greatly expand the market. I have suggested it – all to no avail as yet. I even tried for financial year calendars.

As it is, unless one becomes an RB member in November, one might as well forget calendars for 10-11 months.

I hope to gather material for a couple of Melbourne calanders when I a
