Painting and mixed media creations by Cadence.

Cadence is an active, playful and bright young girl diagnosed with ‘Autistic Disorder’ (commonly known as ‘Classic Autism’), who is known for sharing insights into Autism through her writings, drawings and paintings.

Her first public prose, ‘Autism is why I am different’, was published in August 2015 when Cadence was 7 years old. It has since been made into the Spanish film, ‘Acceptance’ (released August 2016). She has since written, “Green Days make me feel yellow”, “I survived” and “My Ingredients”, which have been published internationally by mainstream and social media.

In 2016, while playing with paint, Cadence discovered that she could use colour to give expression to her written thoughts. Since then she has been exploring and experimenting with different styles, materials and textures. She is a young girl who works extremely hard, and consistently, in a very focussed way, to self-learn and master skills of interest to her.
