Bobbie Rae Jones. MA is a mother of two with deep roots in Northern California. In her studio practice, she works in the medias of painting, drawing and fiber arts grappling with the roles of women, traditions and humanities connection to (or loss from) the natural environment. Bobbie is fascinated by the aesthetics found within the mystical. Using realistic images in fantastical environments, she creates narratives of the transcendent immersed within the somewhat tragic and mundane.
