The Kulturundum Art Path - a cultural Project in Switzerland

Last Sunday, the Kulturundum Art Path in the small Swiss Town Attiswil was inaugurated. The Path is about 4 Kilometers long and more than 60 Artist participated. One of them decided to do his art on the church tower, by painting a writing on a pink background. This had much attention in the local press.

Charity A(u)ction - Finding a Way Out - Help for Children in wars

After last year’s successful fundraising campaign, Swiss Radio DRS 3, Swiss Television and Swiss Solidarity will organize the donations campaign «Every cent counts!» in Bern for the second time. This year it will raise funds for projects that aid children as victims of wars and conflicts.…

As an Action for this, I decided to sell the original of Finding a Way Out in an online auction from December 13. to 18 2010.

Collage, Acrylics and Paper on Canvas, 100×120cm

This work symbolizes the search for a way out from hopeless situations. So I thought it fits the Goals of that Fundrising Campaign. The auction starting price of CHF 295.- (~ 200 Euros) corresponds to the price of canvas and material used and is 80% under the current price in the catalogue.

Another visit in Florence - some Impressions of the Uffizi Gallery

Like the year before, we spent our autumn holydays in Tuscany, Italy.
Last year, I had to learn the lesson that if you like to see the old Master’s paintings in the famous “Uffizi Gallery” in Florence, you have to queue at least 2 hours in front.…

So this year, I tried to reserve the tickets over the internet. In deed, I received a voucher to print out, and it was written on it to be at the entry 15 minutes before the indicated time…

We went by car and of course underestimated the rush hour in Florence, but managed to get into the city, found a place to leave the car (later we had to pay an astronomical amount to get it out from there again), ran to where the galleries are
and stud in front, exactly 15 Minutes before entry time.

Actually, the 2 hours queue was still there… Houndreds of tour

ARTNIGHT in November - Special Events, Special Success

This Week and the next I am enjoying a vacation from my office job and so I have some free time to prepare the upcoming events. With this mission, I went some days ago to Brienz which is a beautiful place in the Bernese Alps in Switzerland.…

View to Brienz, 6.July 2010

This Town is most of all world-famous for wood carving, tradition and swiss culture. Now, a guy from there had the great idea to organise a not so typical, but very special ART event in November, when not so many tourists visit the place. It is then too late to enjoy the lake, and too early to go skiing.

The event, called ARTNIGHT will take place in the garage of the Brienzer Rothornbahn which is a old steam /-cogwheel mountain railway that takes one up to 1678 metres over sea level to the Mountain called “Brienzer Rothorn”.
