The Inverarity Gallery- Newsletter- December 2018

Looking Back on 2018
We can’t believe it’s that time of year again. Things seem to have galloped on at such a pace from September onwards. We would like to start by thanking our followers and subscribers for a great year which has been scattered at times but always interesting. We saw our son get married in a wonderful ceremony at Banchory Lodge Hotel this year. We chipped away at little jobs in gallery headquarters including much excitement about the new greenhouse and Anita finally getting a workroom put together. In Sept we hosted our second Open Studios event and had another back to back year of stunning exhibitions and collectio

I hope you are enjoying the change in colours as much as I am if you are in the UK. Scarves and gloves are back out of storage and there has been pumpkin spiced latte and homemade toffee apples here at the gallery……..making up for the cold snap.
This month we start our amazing winter exhibition, which features some extraordinary UK talent working in all sorts of mediums and a lovely return from some of our gallery regulars too. Our very special guest is Maggie Vandewalle from the US.
I have been busy too creating for my galleries and preparing for my big annual studio sale. You can find details below and I hope you find something to love as we come into festive season again.

I have just completed 2 brand new pieces for this years summer show. Both depict a whimsical view of some of my favourite places, Crathes Castle Gardens (which is always worth a visit when out enjoying the gallery) and pictured below the Duthie Park, with a nod to the days when you could find terrapins in the cactus garden and budgies in the hot houses.
