Won a prize!!!! - Gosh.

Following on from ‘The Road Home’ pic going into the popular listing on page 30 for a day (well its a start I thought) I have just won the Xmas Lights competition in the Ruins Group. My picture ‘Look Don it’s Not a Windmill" toppped the bill.

I am a bit overwhelmed so a big thank you to the people who voted for my pic.

You can see more of my work by clicking the link or searching for AndyReeve.

Just done a rare scan through popular and featured sections and see quite a few of our group of friends have pictures there. Well done you.

Happy New Year

Andy

Road Home

My Dear friends thatnk you for your comments. Road Home made it into the ‘popular’ section. It was on page 30 but it’s a start.

Thank you again

Group Promotion

‘Comments’ are a bit like a drug. Even during my break at work I find myself logging on to see who said what about a submission.…

But I guess we would all like to sell our work to. The problem is the shear volume of work on the Bubble. 19K works when I joined a couple of months ago.

Promotion then, I think, lies with us Moderators. Not sure what the others are up to but I have just promoted the ‘Watersports & Activities’ group to about 40 relevent magazines and websites thus far.

This was of course was to make picture editors aware of a new source of material and if they publish bring in some new photographers and artists.

My next emails will go to advertising agencys and I am researching say Breakfast TV programmes. The type of media is like a bottomless pit when it comes to the need for

Bubble Mail problem

I think this problem (sending a bubblemail but not getting a reply. But getting confirmation that one had been sent by other means), started with Tony and myself. I have already been onto the Bubble peeps and they are looking into it.
If you are having problems too might be an idea if you send a complaint as well.

How to do a Blue,Green Planet.

Couple of peeps have asked me how I did that?…

Can only speak for photoshop.

First open the master picture. Then search for a pic of a galaxy (or whatever subject matter you want to add to the first).

Highlight galaxy pic and resize to fit the area you want to cover up on the master. Make sure that the resolution is the same as the master.

Then click Image > duplicate >. Then double click the galaxy pic and drag it over to the master and holding left mouse key down shuffle it around to fit.

Given a nice straight horizon just slide it down to meet. Given rocks or similar sticking up you may have to erase the galaxy pic to shape so it does not overlap. Or > Layer > arrange > send to the back. This will put the the galaxy behind the master.

Finally use a bit of blur to tidy up the join.

Regarding Wayne & Shane

Hi Susan,
All my animals were free range on the farm. So if, for instance, I went to fix a fence in the top field I was followed by a crowd of my goats, ponies, chinese geese, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl and the cats. Oh and the odd seagull. They were all pretending that they were not actually following me of course. Thus occured our first meeting with Wayne and Shane in the next farms field.

Trebah Gardens

Thank you for your comments….however have just discovered that the soft focus, in places, in the shot, were nice but when comparing to the original discovered that I the soft bits shouldn’t be there. Therefore I need a new scanner……………………….

New Group - WATERWORKS

Hello Chums,

Well I have taken the plunge (forgive pun) and set up a new group. It is called Waterworks, Tis all about water sports and activities. Take a look – get uploading.

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Andy

Cat save's man's life!!!!!

Several of you have asked me how Tilly, my cat, saved my life.

I came home from a night shift and Tilly and I breakfasted then I went to bed. Two hours later she was sitting on my upper chest poking me in the eye. I awoke grumbling only to find the flat stinking of gas. I must have nudged a cooker gas tap on during breakfast.

Luckily it was summer and had it been winter one electrical spark from the heating boiler would have had me and probably the peeps in the other flats sitting on a cloud learning to play the harp.

Thanks Tilly

Another Sorry

I was also about to enter an apology when I noticed Tony had entered one too. Do hope things are improving for you mate.…

I too have been out of it. Couple of weeks ago my Mother passed away so when not up North for the funeral I found the only thing to do was work on and upload pics. It was a great comfort and still is come to think of it. Hence no comments on your work – my apologies.

Tony’s last para encapsulated everthing I wanted to say so in the hopes that he dosn’t cry plagiarism I repeat it here. (He put it so much better than I possibly could).

With my kindest regards to you all, you are the best friends anyone could hope for or want in life. I have never known anywhere quite like Red Bubble, there is so much love, kindness and compassion for each other and each others work it is
