All graffiti artists have their own reasons for getting up. Even if you can’t afford art school, and are talented enough you can show your artwork in public and your name can quickly become known. There are others who don’t care about recognition, and paint because they love to and care only about focusing on graffiti’s essence; individual expression. I know not everyone agrees with this, but I feel as if for some, this is a way that allows these artists to communicate with people who share the common language of art. These artists leave pieces behind that I remember, and that inspire me – I think that’s great.
