Rural Japan Rice Fields Forest Countryside Village
A rural landscape scene in Japan, with thick forests surrounding rice fields and small houses in close proximity to each other. This piece is a digital oil paint-style image based on a photo I took of Ikenotanbo, an idyllic, agricultural area in Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The view is from the top of a small dormant volcano, Omuroyama. I love how quaint and peaceful the countryside scene was, with very few people and the rice stalks on the paddies turning into a golden yellow color almost ready for harvest.
