Western Rosella
This male Western Rosella (Platycercus icterotis) was very elusive and wasn't letting me get a clear shot. After much patience and slowly walking around the tree I managed to get this photo from behind.
The Western Rosella is the smallest species of Rosella and is native to the South West of WA.
This photo was taken at the Golden Valley Tree Park in Balingup, Western Australia. The photo was taken using my Canon 40D with a 100-400mm L series lens.
