The Princess and the Pea
This is my fairytale embroidery that was inspired by reading The Princess and the Pea by Hans Christian Andersen. The mattresses and the princess were made using a stump work technique and if you look closely you will see a tiny glass pea sitting at the base of the bed. The bed is surrounded with a garland of stitched vines, french knot roses and seed beads.
