Splendid Imprint No. 1 in White
While I can be a bit of a maximalist when it comes to my artmaking, I do love (and often crave) a bit of simplicity.
Splendid imprint is a series of digital artworks created in Photoshop featuring a bird & flowers design in white on a dark neutral background.
These artworks are inspired by simplicity in all its forms. I draw inspiration from traditional Block print techniques and imagery found across India as well as design elements that are the hallmark of Scandinavian surface design.
It is a mashup of all the things I love: plants, animals and patterns.
The economy of color allows the image to shine and create visual impact.
