It take place in a Science-Fiction univers, in a far future with strong Far-West influences, but also (and its one of unique aspect of the show) Chinese, which can be seen in clothing, culture, and also dialect and slang : Gorram is a recurrent term use by the characters, which means "goddamn", but under the influence of chinese accent.
