Eastern Double Drummer Cicada (cicadarama)
The Eastern Double Drummer (Thopha saccata) is Australia's largest cicada species, being up to 6cm in length and having a wingspan of up to and above 15cm!
Their call is a constant, high-pitched whine that many people liken to the sound of electric wires buzzing.
