Palmistry aka chiromancy aka chirology
Cheiromancy from Greek words kheir (χεῖρ, ός; "hand") and manteia (μαντεία, ας; "divination", also known as chirology, or in popular culture as palm reading or palmistry. It's a fascinating way of characterization and foretelling one's future by reading the lines oh his/her hands.
I never quite learned to do it, not quite sure it can be done (you can probably tell more about someone's past and present by looking at their skin, scars and other markers on their palms), but you never know.
This palm has a crying eye in the middle of it. It's meant to resemble HAMSA (but just resemble because this is the left hand and hamsa typically features the right hand) - a protection against evil eye. It's a very old and powerful symbol, used for many centuries.
As you may have figured out, I like all things dark, grim, occult, macabre, goth, alternative etc., they just fascinate me. That's why the eye is crying. The whole design means: I SEE SADNESS IN YOUR FUTURE.
It's beautiful how you can tell something without words, just by using symbols - that is what makes them beautiful and fascinating!
Fun fact - it is actually my palm that was the model for this design :)
