Leo & Pipo
One of many in my "Disturbed Grunge" series. "Leo & Pipo" was stuck to the broken window of a boarded-up building, on the grounds of the Callan Hospital for the Insane (now called Rozelle Hospital). Leo & Pipo really sparked my curiosity and I wondered if it was a really old ad, or.....? Here's what I found: "Since 2008 Parisian duo Leo & Pipo have been wheat pasting nameless characters from bygone eras all over their home town. District by district, rue by rue, Leo & Pipo inject a sense of charm, humor and some historical remembrance to dreary concrete facades; hopefully transporting the viewer to another Paris through a visual time machine." Yet, this was found in Lilyfield, NSW, Australia in October 2010. Perhaps Leo & Pipo have been doing a bit of traveling. But to an insane asylum?? Post-processing done in PSE 8.
