Sunflower Geometry
I have always loved how a sunflower combines cheerful color with astonishing mathematical order. I started with the green center and worked outward through hundreds of small seed shapes in olive, ochre, and brown. The petals were painted loosely and unevenly, leaving plenty of white paper so the intricate center would remain crisp against their sun-faded softness.
