Benthos
Benthos is the term used to describe the organisms living on the seabed. These quick gestural strokes made me think of waving tendrils of seaweed wafting in sea green currents. I did this digital painting in Procreate on an iPad. I was working with restricted colour palettes to enhance the immediacy and boldness. Also, secondary colours like turquoise add extra interest than colours that are straight 'from the tube'. And, of course, a whole lot easier to conjure up on screen than by spending ages mixing paint in tubs!
