Pink Conversation
There is something wonderfully theatrical about a hydrangea, with every petal seeming to lean into the next. I built this bloom from overlapping washes of blush, raspberry, lavender, and pale mauve, deepening the tucked-away spaces to give the cluster dimension. Fine pencil lines remain visible throughout because I enjoy letting the drawing and watercolor share the work.
