The Pink Broccoli Tree In Spring
Recently I went on holiday to Egland, and while I was there I went to Havant, to a shop called The Works. They had pallet knives, I have had one for about a year but had wanted to try painting with knives to see what I could do. I have wanted to play with 3D textures like impasto for a while but with brushes, I can’t dollop down a thick layer of oil paint. Apart from the pink leaves, this entire canvas was done with pallet knives. I am very happy with how this came out, even if it looks like a broccoli.
Playing with the textures and mixing the paints was such an interesting experience that I can’t wait to try again some day.
