Life-Giving Rays!
Deep in the gorge of Watkins Glen, I was fascinated by the luminous shafts of sunlight that found their way into this beautiful, but often dark place. Watkins Glen is a wonderful State Park at the southern end of Seneca Lake in the Finger Lakes region in the State of New York, USA. This was photographed on August 3rd, 2007, with a Canon EOS 10D camera using a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L zoom lens @ 70mm. The shutter speed was 1/60th sec at f/8. The camera’s ISO was set to 200. A Manfrotto tripod was used with a remote shutter release. This image is "as-is", just as the lens and camera captured it. The RAW file was converted to jpeg in Photoshop, with no alterations or enhancements. Your comments are always welcome!
