Ferry Ride
A ride on the ferry has special perks, one of them being the chance to stand at the back of the boat and marvel at the seagulls that gather there in hopes of catching tidbits from the passengers. Popcorn and bread crumbs are the main stapes, and the birds go wild when their people friends start flinging the grub skyward. I captured a small part of the action here before the feeding frenzy actually started. I like the way the gulls frame the large ocean gong vessel in the background. Taken on the ferry into Galveston Island, Texas, with a Nikon D4.
