Let me ask you a question, do you ever purposely climb a tree and perch yourself all alone, and just think? Well, that's what I do, every. single. day. I've been stranded here for so long that the days just creep along like a long freight train chugging up a mountain. Can't remember the last time my fur coat wasn't gray. Besides eating a meal, that I did not have to work for, the best part of my day is when I get to see different people come to the bars and try to make me mimic their interpretation of how I am suppose to act. And no, I have not seen The Monkees, so stop singing "hey hey we're the monkees" every chance you get. I am not familiar with any Gorillas in the Mist, and I don't care which planet the apes are from or even if one thinks he is King.
Here's a thought, just because I'm in a zoo does not make me a prisoner behind bars. I'm actually the free one. Free from predators, free from the hidden dangers in the Congo, and free to sit here on a branch just to think. What about you? Are you free, or does life have you captured in a little prison cell? Does anyone come to your bars and make funny faces, swing their arms around, or jump up and down speaking in a primate voice? I hope not, because that would be weird, you know, since you're human. Well, I gotta go, the zookeeper just brought in a new attraction so I need to go chase him around the primate compound for awhile and let the new set of onlookers sing that Monkees' song.
