Workplace Bullying and Harassment Poster - US Version

This poster illustrates some of the more subtle behaviors that can be involved in workplace bullying and harassment, that may not be picked up or easily articulated by those involved, or by spectators or supervisors. This gives people a tool to assess and express the behaviors that may be leading to workplace stress, unease, inequality or dissatisfaction. Any one of these subtle behaviors may not seem like much by itself, but combined with others it can create a telling pattern of bullying and harassment. The information has been simplified and categorized to make it easily understood and digestible. More obvious patterns of workplace bullying and harassment have also been included as a reminder. This poster is intended for use by employees, colleagues and supervisors. It can complement workplace training programs, assist HR or wellness and support staff in addition to providing useful information around the workplace or in lunchrooms etc. One of the biggest problems victims of these types of behaviors face is being able to articulate what is happening. The bullying and harassment is often the result of many small events that are difficult to report and victims often feel petty mentioning them to supervisors or colleagues. Hopefully, this poster will help people understand that these behaviors rarely exist in isolation, and the effect on the victim comes from the weight of many small behaviors that may be overlooked or discounted by others.
