Transparent Door
I screwed up a series of images of this by not cleaning my lens of sea spray. Having taken about eight of them and still retaining the beautiful light, I decided to see if my filters could salvage something. First I laid all the images down on top of each other transparently, favoring the ones with the nice reflection in the sand. Then duplicated that image, lightened it, then watercolor filtered it. I them did a light paint daub on top of all that.
I mention all this because when I first started taking photos. They were only sources for paintings for me. In many ways they still are. Only now, I do not have time to paint, specially with a job that keeps me away from home so much. Some day, all that I have shared with you here will hopefully be painted or sculpted in some way when I finally come home to stay.
