The Process
This is the very start of the process of pouring the dye into the Chicago River in downtown Chicago to turn it a bright Kelly green. If you view larger and look closely, you can see one of the guys pouring a rust colored powder into the river. When it mixes with the water it reacts and turns a bright green.
This is done every year on the day of the St. Patrick's Day parade in downtown Chicago.
I like the yellow and green flare the waves created and how it seemingly cuts into the river like an artist's brushstroke.
