"The Latin term tabula rasa (tabula" chalkboard "and rasa" scraped ", to radier" cockroaches ") originally referred to a wax-covered chalkboard, which was smoothed by scraping the script and can be rewritten as a blank slate.
In the figurative sense, tabula rasa means "empty and receptive like a blank slate". In philosophy, this metaphor refers to the soul (as the place of human knowledge) in its original state before receiving impressions from the outside world. In psychology, too, the question is asked as to whether the psyche or the brain of man initially resembles a blank slate, which is described in the course of life.
