Some people, so I'm told, tend to cheat.. re-arranging this or that, moving leaves, adding things... I never do. I may remove a piece of plastic or a soda can, I may clone out a rotten spot or leavings from a bird, but I've never seen a need to re-design the tapestry itself. Nature does a perfect job without my intervention! Dicentra cucullaria or Dutchman's breeches, is a perennial herbaceous plant, native to forests of eastern North America, with a disjunct population in the Columbia Basin. The common name derives from their white flowers that look like white breeches (pantaloons) hanging upside down. Native Americans and early white practitioners considered this plant useful for syphilis, skin conditions and as a blood purifier; but the plants contain several alkaloids that may have effects on the brain and heart in addition to causing dermatitis.
