Spring Dress
Draped in ivy, there they sit... "still alive" in a sense (certainly, alive with critturs!) These barns are not too far from where we live on Devil's Ladder Road; it's a "roller-coaster" road - gravel - narrow - looping through the hills of Jo Daviess County (northwest Illinois) and as befits the name, it has an eerie feel to it. Nothing much is out there. Evidently, this was one a thriving farm but only memories seem to haunt the place today. Feral cats, raccoons and possums probably slip inside from time to time... although I've never seen any there, myself. I can just imagine all the insects - not to mention snakes. I didn't check for those! :)
