Spear-leaved orache (Atriplex prostrata)
One of several orache species found on the island, Spear-leaved orache has a distinctively triangular leaf shape.
This plant is particularly common in coastal areas and can be found in abundance at Langness.
Oraches are edible and have been eaten by humans since ancient times.
The Manx name for this plant is "Mooyngoair lhean", which means "broad orache".
