Solar Eclipse
A tribute piece to feeling broken, yet strong, and picking up the pieces to form a more cohesive and complete whole. That each part of ourselves has a place, even the dark, the hurt or the challenging aspects we repress and uncover; and that the contrast to feeling divided ultimately leads us to feeling more deeply fulfilled and whole - complete within ourselves.
This background pattern was hand drawn, and then scanned in to fit a mosaic of 1-8 sided shapes meant to fit "seamlessly" while still retaining their individual structure, and significance to the total. Light or whitespace flows through and within and around the bioelectric color veins and emphasizes the significance of each piece and the interconnectedness of all.
This was a very enjoyable, satisfying and healing project for me and my hope is that it can help you in even some small positive way too.
