    Run Rabbit Run
A Rabbit goes round and round on the Carousel at the Pier in Seaside Heights on the boardwalk This Antique Carousel on the Casino Pier in Seaside Heights. Over 100 years old the Dr. Floyd L. Moreland Historic Dentzel/Looff Carousel A museum piece in itself, it whirled on the Seaside Heights boardwalk bringing delight to young and old alike. The music was provided by the only continuously operating Wurlitzer Military Band Organ in the state. A surprising survivor of Superstorm Sandy, On October 29, 2012, Casino Pier suffered significant damage from the effects of Superstorm Sandy, losing over 200′ of its’ northernmost section. Several rides (The Music Express, The JetStar roller coaster, The Centrifuge, The Stillwalk Manor, and the Log Flume) were lost to the Atlantic Ocean. The Centrifuge building housed other rides and components that were also lost. This ONE surviving element from Sandy's wrath inspired many regarding the restoration of the Jersey Shore, but on Sept 12th 2013, 11 months after the destructive force of Sandy a massive wind fueled fire swept the boardwalk leaving nothing but charred remains and memories.
