"View Larger on Chockstone Photography":http://www.chockstonephotos.com/Australian-Print.asp?ID=998 Rigby Hill is an easy 1.2km return walk from Pierces Pass picnic area. It can be accessed from Bells Line of Road not far from Blackheath in the every beautiful Blue Mountains west of Sydney. The track heads up to sandstone escarpment from which there are views across the Grose Wilderness and Grose River. More adventurous hikers might also consider a trek from the picnic area down to the Blue Gum Forest. This image was captured looking straight into the setting sun, which can be something of a challenge photographically speaking. In this case I waited until the brief moment when the sun had half dipped behind the horizon. This allowed for flare and contrast to be manageable whilst still retaining some direct light on the landscape. It is certainly an enjoyable location to just sit and watch the light slowly fade into evening.
