On the Rocks
This work was done entirely on the computer, originally in MsPaint and the later touched up in Photoshop. This is actually quite an old work I had done many years ago on an old PC. I had posted the image in a very old Geocities Website along with my resume. I never printed the image and the original file had been lost for years after Geocities was closed up. A while ago, I found out that someone had copied and posted all the old Geocities websites including the one that had this picture I had drawn so many years ago. Naturally, the image was small and very low resolution, but thanks to modern technology and a little time in Photoshop, I was able to clean up the image for posting here. I remember when I originally created this drawing, I had been contemplating about the families of fishermen long ago, who would await the return of their loved ones who went out to sea. Certainly, many times, the fishermen might be caught in a storm and never return. Other times, they could drift many miles and crash ashore on an unoccupied land until their rescue, returning home years later. I am not entirely sure if I had meant this to be an image of a girl waiting by the sea for the return of a loved one, or a girl so distraught by the loss of a loved one that she was contemplating jumping from the rocky ledge. In either case, I thought it was worthwhile to fix up a bit and post even if it is not my best work.
