Found this ten point Buck's rack and skull while searching for Owls in March '09 in Navan, ON (Canada) THANKS Brad! Trekking through the woods with mounds of snow, I first saw what appeared to be two points of deer antlers. I carefully removed the snow from the base (for over 1 hour) only to find the entire skull and teeth still attached and in tact. I was completely surprised. I assume that this buck met his fate either during a snowstorm or right before one; which allowed for the excellent preservation. A full view reveals the cranial joints. Lady luck was on my side… once again. ;-) Photo taken with a Canon EOS 20D. * *
