YOUR MOTION ALONG NUMEROUS SPATIAL AXES. Minkowski diagram, or spacetime 2D diagrams, show properties of space and time in the special theory of relativity addressing time dilation and length contraction without equations and where space has been curtailed to a single dimension. They show worldlines as curves in a plane that correspond to motion along the spatial axis. 45-degree lines represent photons moving in straight lines. Each diagram point is a position, or event, in space and time, as units of 30 centimetres length and nanoseconds, astronomical units and intervals of 8 minutes and 20 seconds, or light years and years, lines also represent observers while axes are "at rest," and arrows move from past to future. Observers see other clocks as slower, objects with others observers as shorter and photons passing measurements the same though moving relative to each. www.ThinkerCollection.com.
