Microphone Notes
Title: Microphone Notes It's been said that the human voice is the most beautiful instrument of them all. The humble microphone gives power to a voice and allows it to blast fourth from your woofers and tweeters. Inspired in part by the song, Join Together, by The Who... "It's the singer, not the song, that makes the music move along... youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ehc6GJ3R7M The Crazy Notes series is my colorful tribute to musical instruments in their many forms. I am so amazed at the mechanics and beauty of these implements. They are truly functional works of art. These pieces were created by doing some white-space masking and then watercolor washes over top. Plastic wrap was laid on top to create pools, troughs, and ridges. I sometimes leave it on to dry while other times it was removed when things had sufficiently taken shape. Finally I came back with pen and ink to add details and flare.
