Little Tree... Seasons Change - triptych
A little tree, that I pass regularly with my camera on my way to the park - photographed in three seasons Amsterdam South-East, the Netherlands Description: On November 15, 2008, when I made a diptych of this little tree, I wrote: "When I photographed this little tree earlier this year, on April 11th , I was touched by it's simplicity, it's beauty and the abundance of it's blossoms - how brave it stood there, flowering, while all the surrounding trees were still bare. All through summer, I passed there several times, and while I often 'greeted' it when I went by, there was nothing really 'special' about it then. Last week, I was surprised by it's sudden metamorfoses... it had dressed in it's most colourful Autumn outfit! I couldn't help but photographing it again, trying to get it from exactly the same angle as where I remembered I stood the previous time [link] - I needed to adapt and crop the two pics a bit , but I am happy about the similarity of the two photo's... Little tree of the changing seasons, beautiful in it's own right... Later, in December 2008, on a foggy winter morning, I photographed the little tree once again, but never added it to the diptych, till now, for the "Seasons triptych"-challenge that's running in the "Pentax"-group In fact, when I see them together now, I do think I should go back to the little tree these days, in summer time and make a photo of it once more, to complete the four seasons series... But it may have grown quite a bit in 2 years time... So, well, we'll see ;) * *Technical details Technical details Photo 1 - spring 2008 made with Canon Powershot exp.time 1/640 sec. at f/5.6 Focal length 13,8 Photo 2 - autumn 2008 made with Pentax K10D camera and Pentax-DA 18-55 lens exp.time 1/60 sec. at f/5.6 ISO 200 - Focal length 55 Photo 3 - winter 2008 made with Pentax K10D camera and Pentax-DA 18-55 lens exp.time 1/60 sec. at f/ 8,0 ISO 100 - Focal length 43 Features and Top10 placements Featured in Collective Collage (June 16, 2011) Featured in Divine Diptych (oct. 30, 2011) Thank you so much to the hosts of these marvellous groups and challenges * *See more See more See more of my trees See more of my seasons You can now also search my portfolio using Steppeland Thematic Catalogue * h3.
