View Larger on Chockstone Photography The little seaside town of Bermagui (Est. 1830) in New South Wales, is about a five hour drive south from Sydney. Nearby, you'll find a large expanse of water called Lake Wallaga. It is, in fact, the largest lake in southern New South Wales. The lake offers visitors such choices as fishing, swimming, boating, sailing, water skiing and bushwalking. Along its shores there are a wealth of cabin, camping and caravanning options. I've found myself exploring this area of coastline on a number of photography trips. Worn out from too many pre-dawn starts, it makes a great spot to relax for a while and watch the sun go down without all the mad dashing up mountains or trudging along sea cliffs in which I normally indulge. On one such occasion the lake settled into a mirror-like surface just as twilight overcame the day and I was able to capture this scene moments before a steady rain rolled in.
