Jagged Rocks
Beautiful blue skies and jagged rocks created gorgeous reflections and stark contrast. Shot in 2008, California was experiencing a drought. As a direct result, I was able to drive and hike further than I had ever done. Newly formed beaches gave way to gorgeous landscapes that presented themselves at every turn and corner! This is one of a series of photographs that were all shot in one day in December of 2008. That day was a day that I will never forget. Vastly gorgeous landscapes filled with utter beauty settled deep in my heart and will remain there for the rest of my life!! To see the whole series of photographs from that day, check out my calendar: http://www.redbubble.com/people/pollypeacock/calendars/11538663-a-day-at-lake-folsom-state-park I designed the calendar to start during the daytime and to end with a gorgeous sunset and finally the moon, which provided a little bit of light to get back to the roads of the park!! This photograph was shot with a Canon 40D, equipped with an 18-200mm lens at Lake Folsom State Park, California, USA.
