Inscrutable
Featured in Groovy Kitty Cats on 26.11.2012. I was sitting out on the back verandah having a cup of coffee after pouring weedkiller all over an area I need to clean out before I can mow and whipper snip it. Misty had been following me around, very disappointed as I kept telling her to stay out of the weeds - it's become her hiding spot after I mowed just about all the rest of her chosen spots! I know that when I'm sitting out the back, both Misty and Streak will sometimes drop down into the grass where they can see me, the birds and some of the world going by, so I'd taken my camera out with me. The grass she is lying in is only one week's growth! Sure enough, Misty obliged! She was languidly looking around, not particularly interested in anything, not even the birds. I took a couple of photos then called her name. I was pleased when she turned and looked at me without getting up. This is a micro-moment after she looked at me. I love her expressiion, one which looks rather unimpressed. Many thanks for looking - I hope it gives you smile. All comments are appreciated. Hand-held Pentax K100D, Sigma 100 - 300 mm lens, shot in RAW with the anti-shake switch ON! Exposure: 1/180th secind; Aperture: f/13.0; ISO: 200; and Focal length: 300 mm. A very small tweak in Curves to darken it just a tad; no other changes apart from being enlarged for posting.
