IX
The IX christogram (symbol of christianity) is one of the simplest proto-symbols of christianity's history. It's usage prominently survived in the Eastern Roman Empire, namely Byzantium, as part of decorative religious frescos, on churches and mausoleums.
The "I" and "X" are the initials of the greek spelling of Jesus Christ - (IHSOUS XRISTOS), and the circle around it (sometimes missing from this christogram) symbolises the eternal reign of God.
