Fast Food
Fast food is the term given to food that can be prepared and served very quickly. While any meal with low preparation time can be considered to be fast food, typically the term refers to food sold in a restaurant or store with preheated or precooked ingredients, and served to the customer in a packaged form for take-out/take-away. The term "fast food" was recognized in a dictionary by Merriam–Webster as far back as 1951.. Our society has become obsessed with speed, convenience and fast food has become a main stay of our diet and consumption. Fast food chains have come under fire from consumer groups, such as the Center for Science in the Public Interest, a longtime fast food critic over issues such as caloric content, trans fats and portion sizes. According to the Massachusetts Medical Society Committee on Nutrition, fast food is especially high in fat content, and studies have found associations between fast food intake and increased body mass index (BMI) and weight gain.. ( aint that the thruth ? ) The image taken in Newark Airport, NJ , USA as I was waiting to board a transatlantic flight to England.... here, I had the idea for this work ..
