In 1877, an auxiliary pumping station was added, which was electrified in 1925. The mill was then stripped of his rods. The mill was unemployed until 1941. In that year the Berkermeermolen grind again, and since then the mill ran regularly. The hood of the mill is equipped with wooden rollers. The mill is, as most of the North-Holland polder mills, a binnenkruier. The Berkermeermolen features a Flemish trapping.
