Defending the beach
Every year in El Campello in Spain (as well as in other towns) they celebrate the festival of the the Moors and Christians. In El Campello this starts with a battle on the beach as the Moors arrive in boats and fight the Christians. Over the next few days there are various events including parades through the centre of the town.
This shot was taken at the very start of the battle on the beach. The Moorish boats are supposed to be sneaking in under cover of darkness however the defenders have spotted them and started defending with canon and musket fire
