Country Church
St. Luke's Lutheran Church 1929. Serving the areas of Browning, Woodly and Cullen, Saskatchewan CANADA until its declaration as a heritage site in 1984. Originally a one room school house, its first congregation consisted of 36 baptized members in 1911. The history of the Lutheran Faith in the Prairies began with the first German-Russian immigrants during the years 1902-1905.
Today this Lutheran Historic Church sits alone on the prairie amidst numerous Oil Drilling Rigs, which have displaced most of the farmers. Browning, Woodley and Cullen no longer exsist, the communities have vanished.
