Beached
A second tidal surge battered the coast this weekend. Not severe enough this time to cause flood warnings down the entire East coast, but coinciding with a particularly high tide, the effects were stunning.
Its strange to watch the sea like this, when the day feels still, the wind just a light, gentle presence. The effect to the shoreline has been brutal - sand beaches swept away, leaving mud flats beneath and shingle pushed up along the tide line.
Foreboding sometimes.
