Australian Raptor
This bird has an interesting story. There is a beautiful part of the East Coast QLD called pelican waters. A community of man made water channels fed by the ocean. There was a new subdivision to be made where a couple of Osprey Raptors Pandion haliaetus (I'm pretty sure thats what they are, if im wrong please let me know). The environmental coordinators would not allow these birds to be kicked out of there breeding ground (they nest and breed in the same place every year) so the nest was placed a customized platform made for them 25 meters high.
I chanced upon this scene while doing aerial photography for Raptor Place (named after the birds). I saw them and changed my lens from a 10-22 to a 300 and got some shots that quite frankly "I live for!!"
