"View Larger on Chockstone Photography":http://www.chockstonephotos.com/Australian-Print.asp?ID=993 Witches Leap is a lovely waterfall right in the heart of busy Katoomba in the ever popular Blue Mountains National Park. It is very easy to access, being only a short 10 minute walk down some steps from Katoomba Falls carpark, which itself is very close to the star attraction The Three Sisters. Best viewed after, or even during some rain this delightful little waterfall should be on your tick list if you want the family friendly tour of Katoomba. Keep descending if you want to reach the lower Katoomba Falls. The word “leap” in this case is a Scottish dialect word meaning waterfall. The reference to a witch relates to the shape the rocks giving the appearance of a face from certain angles. Keep an eye out of lyrebirds here, we managed to spot one, even though the raining evening light.
